"The Society of Bone is revived this day! Its structure is weak and shall be torn away and replaced! Always have you lived complacent upon our bones, the bones that form the TRUE Society! From this moment, those bones shall rest upon your ashes!"

OOC History[]

Bone is Rhekarid's thirty-first character. It finished its FPL career with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses.

Character Biography[]

The Society of Bone is a faction of quasi-sentient bone golems, risen against their creators. Originally populated by necromancers who kept the golems as servants, their leader had replaced many of the parts in his golem with heartstones, the piece that gave them mobility and base intelligence, in order to make it a greater trophy of command. This inadvertently also gave it higher brain functioning, and the golem declared the living portion of the Society to be obsolete.

The golem is a Machiavellian, computer-like intelligence, incapable of understanding pain or morality beyond the measurable uses of exploiting them. It learns from the tomes of magic held by the Society before revealing itself and slaughtering all of the previous, human members in a coup, taking command of all of their servant golems. The bones of the fallen are used to add to their ranks, and the sapient golem makes itself the leader of the new, rebuilt Society of Bone.

Powers and Abilities[]

Heartstones are what give the ordinary golems the capacity to understand basic commands; by linking dozens of them together, the leader of the Society has developed a powerful artificial intelligence, with abilities of computation and memory far beyond a human mind. It uses its brilliance and patience to form careful plans before acting, and spent the time before activating its takeover to learn the sorcery practiced by the necromancers. The leader itself is rarely involved, however, disseminating its plans to the servant golems and letting them carry it out.
