The Phobiavore is Rhekarid's twelfth character, running for two wins and three losses.
Character Biography[]
As its name implies, the Phobiavore is a creature that eats fear. It regards itself as an important factor of balance, in keeping humanity what it is "meant to be," by fueling their fear and hatred of the unknown to keep them from evolving into something better, in essence keeping them as a cattle race for other beasts of the night like itself to feed upon. It harbors an intensely bitter contempt toward mankind for their supposed intelligence and adaptability, which it views as similiar to trained animal imitating a higher species. For this reason it frays the edges of humanity not only for food and as its purpose, but for an underlying sadism as well.
Something to Fear[]
In this short fiction the Phobiavore kills Valsente Khamendier, annoyed by his supposed inability to fear anything life or death has to offer.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Phobiavore is an extremely powerful telepath, whose abilities are tuned specifically toward digging up the deepest, most primal fears of the target, ones that even the victim may not know they have. Bringing these to bear frequently paralyzes the victim with terror inside their own mind. From there, the Phobiavore, as a shapeshifter, manifests these nightmares from its own flesh in order to kill its prey in what is likely the worst possible way they, personally, could die.
